
Manchester-The Beja Congress in UK has issued recently a statement requesting civil society in the UK and Sudanese opposition parties and democratic organization to express their solidarity with the Sudanese people and participate in a demonstration, which is going to take place in Manchester, UK, on the 30th June 2013. Mohamed ALHALENGY, a beja human rights activist says that it will be 24 years since the Sudanese democratic government was overthrown by Omar Al Bashir. He added, in South Kordofan, Blue Nile, and Eastern Sudan countless crimes against humanity have been committed against innocent civilians. The Beja Congress calls upon all Sudanese, youth, men and women to join us in putting an end to these crimes.
The Beja Congress strongly condemns the continued deliberate killing of innocent civilians by the regime and its war against the Sudanese people, in particular the people of Darfur, South Kordofan, Blue Nile and other marginalized conflict ridden regions. The Beja Congress requests that all Sudanese opposition organizations join the peaceful demonstration on: Sunday 30th June 2013 assembling at All Saints on Oxford Road, Manchester at 2 pm.
