Doha –Sudanese Islamic thinker Dr. Hassan al-Turabi confirmed that the fair constitution should be established by an independent body, emanating from the people who are usually represented by constituent deputies, because they will develop a supreme law of the country.
Turabi said, during a seminar organized yesterday evening that the Sudanese regime does not respect the international conventions and the local too, the corruption hasreachedthe longer term,, as well as excesses in misuse of power through despotism, where resorts to division of the states whenever they want and the way they get serve, they appoints the governors of these states and dismiss them whenever he wants, at the same time warned that in case any coup happen in Sudan, the consequences will be serious consequences, but ifthe Sudanese peoplemovethroughapeacefulrevolution, there are many possibilities thatcan be discussed.
El-Turabipointed that political partiesin Sudannot competentto dorevolutions, because the system is almost immune by movements that represents a lot of parties, and have a mechanism that it defends its survival, adding that the Sudanese weapon in the end remains as the social relations due to control exposed to the media in Sudan. He criticized at the same timethe situationexperienced by theSudanat the grassroots level. He said that we in Sudan have not yet reached to each other, not politically linked as associated with one body, and we no longer feel those of the national spirit that surrounds us, even though Sudan is prepared to allow relationships to expand if able to live in freedom and a great link.
Turabi recalled about the reality of his earlier arrest, that he had been detained in the prisons of the system, and he thought that the conditions is worse outside, once released from prison he found that people living without indifferently to the situation around of them, and non-interacting withthedevelopmentsthat Sudan must go toward at himfor democratic transition.
El-Turabi criticized the situation of media in Sudan, and propaganda that runs by system in order to impose his staying on Sudanese people, and wondered: how much it cost us of missed opportunities which could have been grasped to change the situations, directed his blame to Sudanese people who did not realize yet the stage of changes strongly by the system propaganda.
