Khartoum- The spokesman of Darfur’s Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), Gabriel Adam Bilal, has demanded Sudan’s government to take political decisions regarding the comprehensive solution to the Sudanese crisis rather than meaningless initiatives, stressing that the ruling National Congress Party (NCP), led by Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir, has no vision for the political solution and insists on the military solutions, describing the The DohaDocument for Peace in Darfur (DDPD) as " impotent ".

In statements to Dubai-based Al-Bayan newspaper on Sunday, Bilal said that DDPD does not reflect the aspirations of Darfur people, in addition to lack of its comprehensiveness and inability to address the issues of war in Sudan, adding that the document is incompatible with the Declaration of the Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF) to overthrow the regime with all means available, including the political and military ones.

He reiterated his movement’s rejection of any call based on negotiation according to the document.

about initiatives intended to be called by Al-Bashir to end the rebellion, JEM’s spokesman denied that his movement had received any invitation like this, adding: "we do not believe that the ruling party has as vision for the political solution, the NCP insists on the military solutions and this is evident in Darfur, Southern Kordofan and Blue Nile.”
