Juba-South Sudan announced on Sunday that it had sent its first oil cargo through Sudanese territory to international markets.
South Sudan's Information Minister, Barnaba Marial Benjamin, stressed that the first shipment of South Sudan oil had left Port Sudan on the Red Sea.
The dispute between the neighbors threatens to hit supplies to Asian crude buyers such as CNPC, India's ONGC Videsh and Malaysia's Petronas, which run the oilfields in both countries.
Khartoum’s government always accuses Juba’s government of supporting rebel movements, which prompted Sudan to its decision of 9 June 2013 in suspension in oil and related economic issues between the two countries.
