The Sudanese government started new arrest campaign against Nub activists, and specially Nuba Christians, most of the detainees were detained in Khartoum and in Southern and North Kordofan in the wake of the recent escalation and expansion of the conflict zone to move to the north from Southern Kordofan to North Kordofan.
The Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF)” an ally of armed movements, who are fighting the government from Darfur, Nuba mountains, Blue Nile and other opposition parties”, took the battle against the Sudanese government to new level, by attacking areas that has never been part of the fighting before, and mainly to take the combat to be closer to Khartoum the Capital of Sudan.
Dozens of Nuba activists and even regular Nuba reported missing in the campaign started in May1st, 2013. Most of the detainee’s families did not know any informations yet about them, and their whereabouts remain unknown. The detainees are in danger of torture and ill treatment inside the detentions.

Arry organization is extremely concerned about the wellbeing of the detainees as they are in danger of torture and even they might lose their lives , therefore we call on the Sudanese government to immediately release them and reveal their whereabouts or present charges against them. We call on the Sudanese government also to allow them family visits and access to lawyers.
