Kuala Lumpur- The International Islamic University inMalaysia will hold the Global Conference on the Building of Mosque,Uniting of the Nationinthe era of Globalization: Issues, Challenges andOptions, andin the period from10 to 12 September, 2013in Kuala Lumpur, in conjunction with the celebrations ofthe 30th anniversaryof the founding ofthe International Islamic University inMalaysia.
The Director General ofthe Mosque of SultanHajiAhmad Shah Administration in the University, Dr. Habib Al-RahmanIbramsa, said on Wednesday that convening ofthe conference comes in recognition of the International Islamic University’s role in achievement ofits mission in theintegration,Islamization,and distinction, pointing out that theexpectationsare high forachieving the objectives of the Universityin this area tofind the best waysto expand therole of Mosque, along with spreading of the concept ofthe mosque asa center ofhuman development, exchange views onhow to convertthe mosqueinto a center forspiritual place , as well as enhancednetworking opportunitiesbetween the participantsbased onthe curriculumMuslimin order tobenefit the Islamic worldasawhole.
Ibramsa explained that the conferenceaims to developstudies onthe achievement ofthe vision andmission of the university which in linewith the developmentsof contemporary life,and showconsensusabout how to convertthe mosqueinto a center forspiritual placecoincidewith the principles andoriginsof Islamic law,and howit affects thearchitectureof the mosque andto expand its role.
