
Khartoum-Sudanese Islamist opposition leader, Hassan al-Turabi, strongly condemned the ouster of Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi, describing the step as a coup against legitimacy.
In press statements on Thursday, al-Turabi thatMursi is a victim of Egyptian army, Christians and liberals, pointing out that the latter just believe in democracy for themselves but not for others.
"The step is against the constitution and the legitimacy” he stressed.
The Islamist leader indicated that Mursi was the first democratically elected leader who issued a constitution which the people wanted.
