Khartoum-The delegation of AU's High-level Implementation Panel for Sudan arrived in Khartoum on Wednesday to hold discussions with the officials from Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) to assess the situation prior to starting the determination of the demilitarized zone and opening the cross points between Sudan and South Sudan.
A reliable source told Al-Mighar Al-Siyasi newspaper that Khartoum’s government is ready to avail a full chance for the delegation to implement the initiative presented by the head of the Panel, Thabo Mbeki, especially the determination of the zero-line between Sudan and South Sudan considering that as the basic step on which other security agreement could be implemented in addition to trade agreements and opening the cross-points between the two countries.
