
Addis Ababa-Ethiopian Prime Minister, Haile Miriam Dessalines, said on Thursday that his country will strengthen its ongoing efforts to resolve misunderstandings between Sudan and South Sudan.
After talks in with Sudanese delegation led by President, Omar Al-Bashir, in Addis Ababa, Dessalines stressedthat Ethiopia will do its utmost to find a solution to the differences between the Juba and Khartoum, revealing that a committee has been formed to discuss the trade of accusations by both sides, adding that the African Union High Level Implementation Panel is expected to provide a solution on this issue.
For his part, Sudan’s president said that discussions with Ethiopian Prime Minister focused on bilateral relations between the two countries, adding that the meeting also reviewed opinions on ways to improve the situation between Sudan and South Sudan.
Al-Bashir praised the positive role played by Ethiopia to ensure peace between Sudan and South Sudan as well as the entire region of the Horn of Africa.
