Khartoum -Chinese President, Xi Jinping, expressed his country’s readiness to work with Sudan’s president, Omer Al-Bashir, to boost the relations for the benefits of people of the two countries.
in a congratulatory cable he sent to his Chinese counterpart, Sudan’s prsident stressed that Khartoum and Beijin maintain strong friendship and effective cooperation in all fields, pointing out tha the two countries have been establishing diplomatic relations for 54 years.
for his part, Chines President appreciated Al Bashir's congratulatory cable.
China and its national oil company, the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), have been doing business in Sudan since the early 1990s. Since then, Beijing and the CNPC have bankrolled Khartoum, consciously ignored genocide and helped perpetuate conflict.
