
Khartoum-Sudan and Mauritania signed on Sunday a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation in the area of communication and information technology. Sudan’s State Minister at the Ministry of Communications, Dr Tahani Abdullah, signed on behalf of the Sudanese side, while Mauritania Employment Minister, Dr. Mohamed Ould Khouna, signed on behalf of Mauritanian side.
The memo included the exchange of experiences and competencies through the regular exchange of information in strategic areas, and benefit from shared experiences and consolidating positions in international forums at the level of specialized international organizations.
It also included the exchange of legislations and laws, and it urged the relevant organizations in this area to achieve joint programmes and the transfer of knowledge, experience and employment.
The memo stressed the need for joint action in the areas of management, e-commerce, payment and postal services, besides development of digital content industry in Arabic language, especially in the field of education, and establishment of Sudanese- Mauritanian High School to focus of the technology in telecommunications and information
