Khartoum-Sudan’s Council of States suspended its sessions on Monday to enable its members to mobilize people to stand by Sudan’s army in its fighting against rebels of Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF).
SRF rebels control the South Kordofan town of Abu Karshola since 27 April when they launched an attack on several locations including Um Rawaba in North Kordofan State.
The Speaker of Sudan’s Council of States, Adam Hamid Musa, stressed that his Council has decided to suspend its sessions and send its members to people in the states and villages to mobilize them against the plots facing Sudan, pointing out that the members will discuss with people how to encounter the hostilities of the rebel groups.
For his part, the representative of the River Nile State at the council, Hisham Al-Birair, pointed out that their campaign aims to mobilize Sudanese people and make them aware of the conspiracies being plotted to undermine the peace and security of the country.
